Immer am Anfang eines Monats rollt Google das Security-Update für die Pixel Phones aus. Das Januar-Update war auch sofort für alle Pixel Phones, bis auf das Pixel 6 (Pro), vorhanden. Schon im Dezember gab es Probleme. Die Pixel 6 Phones erhielten das Update auch hier mit einer (angekündigten) Woche Verspätung. Allerdings hat das Dezember-Update für einige Nutzer viele Probleme mit sich gebracht, sodass Google sich gezwungen sah, das Update zu pausieren. Auch der manuelle Download über die Webseite war nicht mehr möglich. Es wurde jedoch ein kompletter Fix für Januar 2022 angekündigt.
Android Security Bulletin Januar 2022 für Pixel 6 und Pixel 6 Pro
Gestern Abend erfolgte erst eine Ankündigung beim kanadischen Netzbetreiber Fido, dass Google den Januar-Patch für die Pixel 6 Geräte am 17. Januar ausrollen wird.
Nun sind die OTA- und Factory Images bereits auf der Webseite vorhanden. Und auch im Support Forum ist jetzt der Termin 14. Januar genannt.
